In the current economic environment that has many manufacturers pulling back and keeping things status quo, it’s becoming increasingly rare that one will step forward with a 2010 model sporting major upgrades that cost money to develop. And yet Kawasaki has done just that with the latest Concours 14, with a long list of updates that you’d normally see in headier times. Adjustable linked ABS, traction control (the first bike from Kawasaki with such a system), new fairing, taller and larger windscreen with preset memory—there are too many to list here. Kawasaki let the motorcycling press have a day on the new Concours to get their riding impressions out near Indian Wells, California. SR’s El Jefe gives his brief report on just how the new Kawasaki fares on the road in his latest blog, with a more complete report to follow soon.
